Dusty Dino works in the Garden

Making a Dolphin

For my school project, I decided to make a dolphin.  Daddy helped me make the wooden frame using his band saw.

Then I wrapped wire around the wooden frame to give it a bit of body.

The next step was to use masking tape to cover the wire at the tail fin and mouth.

Then I covered the whole dolphin with masking tape so that the paper mache would stick to the wire and wooden frame.

All nicely covered and ready for the forming with paper mache.

Toilet paper, flour and water for the final layer...

Now all I need to do is leave it to dry and then paint it....

Planting Beautiful Flowers

Planting Petunias in the Front Garden
On Wednesday I went to the nursery that sells plants.  We bought some plants in pots.  We also bought some compost.  We put the compost in the box..We took the petunias out of their pots and planted them! Pink, purple, then pink, then  purple.

Matchstick Butterfly MADE BY MEE!

This is my matchstick model butterfly for school homework. I used a chisel to cut the matchsticks and used wood glue to stick the matchsticks together. to stick the wings to the body i used polyeurethane glue.

For inspiration I searched for 'matchstick insects' and came across this link... http://www.environmentteam.com/art/matchstick-insects/  I wanted to build one like that.
